WAVE - Dynamic system control

WAVE contains a suite of control elements to simulate the extensive network of control systems required by today’s engines. Applications such as the control of wastegates, fuelling and cylinder deactivation can be modelled with ease using the supplied elements. The methodology provided allows easy calibration of controllers, furthermore, an extensive database of engine model provided with the installation also includes examples of typical applications of dynamic control. The wide range of the control elements is extended to real-time WAVE-RT modelling allowing embedding control systems in the real-time black box engine package for model tuning and virtual calibration activities. Easy integration within MATLAB Simulink® and Functional Mock-up Unit (FMU) export option also allow coupling of WAVE/WAVE-RT engine models with external control systems.
