To address increasingly stringent emission regulations and fuel economy requirements, Jiangmen Dachangjiang Group systematically introduced the FAST friction assessment tool in the development of its motorcycle engines, achieving precise analysis and optimisation of the engine friction system. By establishing a comprehensive friction model that includes the crankshaft-connecting rod mechanism, piston assembly, valve train, and auxiliary systems, FAST efficiently simulates friction loss distribution under different operating conditions. The forward design of the friction system based on FAST has effectively improved the fuel economy of Dachangjiang's motorcycle engines, providing a reliable technical approach and data support for the development of high-performance, low-friction motorcycle powertrains.
